 From The Master

The first stated meeting in June is one of my favorites, Hawaiian shirt night. This is your chance to wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt to lodge. Shorts, sunglasses and sandals are optional but the shirt is a must. If you do not wear shorts and sandals please do wear pants and shoes.

June 20th will be our last F.C. Team practice before our Outdoor Master Mason Lodge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28.  This will be an important practice. We want to be at our best for our outdoor lodge. We will raise one of our actual candidates at the outdoor lodge. This was a great event last year and one we hope to continue. Our lunch this year will feature roasted pig on a spit along with other items. We are not selling tickets for the lunch but we are asking for donations to help pay for the food. Any Mason who has Union or Confederate gear is encouraged to wear it. If you don’t, casual clothing will be just fine.

June 21st will be the cornerstone laying ceremony at the state capital in Columbus. Every lodge has been invited to march in the parade. Those who march are asked to wear polo shirts and kakis. After the ceremony, everyone is invited to the Ohio Historical Society for a picnic. I hope to make a good showing for our Lodge. Kelli and I will see you there. Have a great summer.

Rich, Master

Remember to look sharp for children on bicycles and guys on those two wheeled demon machines. They both seem to come from nowhere suddenly. From the Master, officers and brethren, have a very safe and happy summer vacation and we will see you at the outdoor lodge and in the fall. Don’t forget your Blue Lodge! It won’t forget you; ‘cause it needs you.
